With years of experience, we specialize in restoring and reupholstering furniture to its original beauty, combining traditional techniques with modern styles. Our passion for quality and attention to detail ensures that every piece we work on is treated with care.

Reupholstery
Custom upholstery is done with the customer, specifying design details and finishes, and we will work to achieve that goal. Special requests are welcome and pieces can be created from photographs and upholstered with genuine leather or fabric selected from thousands of samples from major suppliers.
Cleaning
We have a reputation for restoring and cleaning the most delicate fabrics such as tapestries and needlepoint. As a result customers continue to entrust their most treasured furnishings to Simmering Upholstery professionals.
Repair
We offer a range of repair services, including but not limited to fixing legs, frames, and springs.

Why reupholster rather than buy a new piece of furniture?
New pieces of furniture tend to have weaker frames and parts that may only last a few years, whereas older pieces of furniture tend to be stronger and more durable. So rather than buying a new piece of furniture, you can get your older piece recovered in a new fabric and have fresh foam put in.

Do I need to purchase fabric through Simmering Upholstery?
We at Simmering Upholstery offer a wide variety of fabrics that you can choose from; however, if you have your own fabric, we will have to measure the yardage needed for the job then we can go through with it.

Do we do automotive reupholstery?
We do not do automotive reupholstery, but sometimes we can do boat cushions depending on the specific job.

Upholstery is the art or practice of covering furniture in a padded or soft covering.

Do we need to bring our furniture to the shop or is there a delivery service?
At Simmering Upholstery, pick up and delivery is free of charge for any large frames and sets within city limits. If you require pick up and delivery assistance for smaller items, or outside of Calgary, just ask us about a quote for extended pick up and delivery services.
